Only discovered now that thepiratebay.org has an android category. I'll get on it as soon as I get home. No more paying for me :cool:

I dont think one could trust any Pirated versions esp seeing that it can affect your wallet, unlike downloading music.

But if I have to look for "trail" ware, I normally go to http://www.apktops.com/ anyway and have a phone that is not linked to my google account with a pay-as-you go SIM just to make sure I like it before I buy on the market.
 
Can use the Applanet market app to download *cough* free copies of paid apps,and update same as regular android market. Some apps are sneaky and have extra protection in though :)
 
Erm... Mobile apps cost almost nothing. Is it really worth pirating?

yup... and with all the malware that is apparently out there... some of which have been found in the market.... Is it really worth saving a couple of rand?

However these limited "free editions" purportedly having tons of extra features in the paid version doesn't always deliver as promised. I've downloaded near 40 apps,bought 12 of them,rest I sent packing,cheap or not,unstable crap has no home on my phone.

I prefer having access to the full apps and using a donate-version to buy the useful ones
 
Be wary that if its pirated, the app may also have other malware code as already mentioned. Not exactly smart if you happen to also do internet banking and have a key logger installed.
 
why dont u try getjar. app is on the market. have gold apps that become available for free.
