I liberated my ex contract number that I had for 15 years that was held hostage by an ever incompetent autopage and finally released as prepaid into Vodacom . Took me a whole bunch of Rands and some delicate negotations but finally I got it back Yay! Never Ever Ever Ever Ever again am I going near an autopage. Now Vodacom was once the standard bearer but stuff them, I never thought I'd be saying "Stuff Vodacom" oh well there's a first time for everything but Vodacom have ripped me several new ones over the years just like autopage so I am porting over to TM.

Welcome!! :)

I moved over to Telkom Mobile, cos it's insane value for money, and no other service provider can offer the same.

Haven't regretted it for one day and extremely happy!

Love TM!

I had the opposite experience. After being an MTN prepaid customer for 13 years, I signed a contract with TM. TM made billing mistakes. In an incompetent attempt to fix it, they suspended my number for two whole weeks !

Now I'm back on prepaid and "free at last" !

+1. Been with them for the past two years. :p On pre-paid. No contract, ever.

what happened?

Oh well they opened a contract for the ex (before she became an ex) and placed a limit on the data but then forgot to turn off the Tap for several months and the bills were deducted ....I can't say more save to say I could have bought a Ferrari.

She became your ex cause her contract usage was way too much and blamed you for telling her to join the blue family :P

Took out TM 10+10GB in July. MTN data contract ended last month. When I went in to cancel, they asked what I was getting with TM (and not like I wanted to renew with MTN deteriorating network) and I said 10+10 for R299, MTN said "Ooh eh eh, we cannot metch thet". MTN offers 5GB for R289. So R10 more and I'm getting 15GB extra with TM!!

All round , countrywide, I'm getting far better reception than MTN? Theirs have deteriorated drastically over last 2 years!!!
And indeed, insane value for money.

Telkom Mobile is insane value for money. I'm getting more of everything, but saving R200+ a month. :)

My phone & data expenses have dropped from R700+ to R498 a month, but now I'm getting double the voice minutes & more than double the data. Crazy.
