I haven't been getting free basic units for months now.

I recharge via FNB - use about R500 - R700 a month.

When I select Claim FBE in FNB after buying prepaid electricity, it says that my claim has been submitted, but nothing ever comes of it.

Anyone else with the same issue? (City of Cape Town).

they introduced an additional tarriff during last year. i too lost the free units. they might be phasing it in for existing customers using the property valuation roll.

In my metro you have to use a rolling 12month average of R450 per month or less, to qualify for the FBE which is targeted at 'indigenous' households.

Umm it's targeted at poorer households and people who don't use much electricity.
