Free GPS Navigation for Android

Hi,

Does such a thing exist? I have just gotten the Galaxy and cannot believe that for such an expensive phone, no free navigaion is provided.

There's a hacked version of Google Navigation that works in SA:

There's also Waze, but it doesn't seem very good to me.

If you decide to go for the paid stuff, Co Pilot is excellent from what I hear.

Yep get Brut Maps.

It has served me well on various long distance trips. Picks up the the regional roads and rural roads in the Eastern Cape without issue. I vouch for it.

The only issue I have with it is that it gives you very short warning about when you need to take a turn etc. Would be nice if it gave a warning say 100m prior to a change and then say 20m prior. But really for free software it is right up there with the best of paid software.
