Free hosting for Joomla

Hi guys, hope someone can help me, im trying to learn Joomla and im in need of free hosting that supports the joomla script.

install wamp if you're on windows, mamp if you're on mac or the various packages if your're on linux.
your computer is the server.

Install Apache, PHP and MySQL on your PC. Try it there. Much easier than trying it out on some remote server.

Edit: Like murraybiscuit said.

Another edit: There are many packages that installs it all for you, but I'd go with downloading and installing each of the components separately.

webhost free accounts does not support the joomla script at the moment. according to there site. thats where my site is currently hosted

+1 - I used this for about 3 weeks - works well enough (I upgraded for subdomains, etc.).

Ok, In that case when you order the hosting package, choose the option " I will update my nameservers on an existing domain Or I will register a new domain." for you to transfer your own domain
