Does antone know of a good PDF editor that is freeware? I've found some, but they all embed watermarks unless you switch to the paid version and then the one I installed seem to be unstable anyway. Doesn't need to have too many features as I will mostly be deleting stuff.

PDFCreator is a print to PDF program.

Google will get you there

PDFCreator is great and open source as well.

Buts its a creator, not an "editor" - isn't that what you are looking for?

What are you looking to save as pdf?

Foxit claims that you can type on any pdf.... google for it

CutePDF

I used PDF995 and then switched to CutePDF - less nagging screens.

I have pdfs I want to edit and make them more compact so I don't have to go through the same stuff over and over again.

Foxit also embeds a watermarks on every page. I think I'll go for CutePDF as it only puts one on the first page at the bottom and the layout also looks nice. :) Thanks everyone for your help.

Oh fluff

CutePDF doesn't wan't to edit the pages. Something to do with the document protection (aka encryption) perhaps. Anything I can use to remove it that won't add watermarks to everything?

CutePDF

Haven't used it for editing yet, only to convert to PDF from MS Word, Excel etc. Sorry, didn't read your post properly from the start:o

Found it, finally!

It's called VeryPDF PDF Editor. It still places a "For Evaluation Only" comment on the first page, but now I can at least edit and delete stuff. :)

EDIT: places it on every page you edit.

Unfortunately OpenOffice can't edit PDFs (which is what I have). I will now just stick to what I am using and export everything to word docs if I run into any snags, although I might lose some formatting. Not going to waste any more time searching and trying out new stuff.
