Johannesburg - The ANC is to investigate adverts offering services including free porn and penis enlargements on its website.

"I wasn't aware of such an advert and I'm not aware that the ANC website had ever been used for commercial purposes," African National Congress spokesperson Brian Sokutu said on Sunday when Sapa questioned him about the adverts.

Adverts on the party's home page on www.anc.org.za were offering the following to web users: free porn, penis enlargement, prefabrik, cortix, tarot, reverse mortgage, security system report, jet charter, APC battery, autism, a dating service and website promotion.

Sokutu said he would look into the matter, but could not do anything until Monday.

That is a HUGE fubar on the part of the web designers...
how can you promote your website with meta tags like that?

This is again a HUGE sign of their incompetence!!
Nothing can be done "until Monday"??? Sheesh! for the internet face of the country's ruling party?

Dude you should know people get the jobs not because they are skilled.

So you end with rubbish. Why would the ANC think about giving their website design to someone who knows what they are doing.

Besides the major flaws it is one of the worst websites i have ever had the displeasure of opening.
 
The site was designed and maintained by a tiny company called Unwembi - even their website is pathetic. The ANC's website freezes Firefox as well...
 
For those that didn't get past the first 5mins of that video - it's from 5.05 that it makes reference to SA.

Most shocking.

If someone were to "hack" their website, I'm sure they'd do a lot worse than hide a little pr0n advert in there. It's a FAIL on the developers' part imo. Their own website is an indication that they haven't got a clue what they are doing...
