I came across this free Skype answering machine - haven't played with it any. To be truthful I haven't been using Skype since Nov 1 2005, b/c my cap has progressed from 30GB -> 20GB -> 10GB -> 5GB, and at the moment I'm really straining to keep inside the 5GB of traffic (I'm using SAOL.com b/c it's the cheapest at the moment). Anyways from what I saw in Skype you have to subscribe to one of their services SkypeOut/In to get a free answering machine.
If anyone has the time and bandwidth let me know how it works out.
