Nope, you need data to access the FNB apps. I just tried the FNB app on iPad which is out of data and it is not working. Not that it is a selling point. ABSA needs to do much more to lure me back after I left them 16 years ago for FNB and never looked back.

Yip and it is not gonna happen. So happy that I left them when they treated me like dirt. FNB welcomed me with open arms.

Face it, the losses they will make with this kind of reversible billing is negligible as the customers cannot go anywhere else.
Plus if the cellphone apps are coded properly and uses bandwidth frugally...
Now if only Capitec can do the same... (offer reversible billing).
