Free web site hosting

Is there any way i can upload my site i made (html) and host it somewere for free?
And were would i be able to do such thing?

There are many free hosting providers around, just use google to find them. Most have ads on them or are fairly unreliable, but still free.

What is the site about and how big is the site? Also do you need a domain for the site (something.co.za) or sub domain (something.freehostingprovider.com)?

If you want your own domain you will have to register one though and that still costs a little money. I would not recommend going for free hosting though as most are extremely unreliable and offer no form of support.

I use www.rootshell.be . It is a free of ads, I use it for html websites only. Capped users cant access my site since its international. My site is 9.6 MB now.

Personally I would avoid free hosting - like bullfrog said you have no idea how reliable they will be in the coming months and the may just vanish. Also if anything goes wrong then you are very unlikely to find some willing to help you sort it out.

Our entry level hosting package goes for R15 per month and there are other guys around who will be able to get you hosting at a similar sort of price. Not really the amount of money that is likely to break the bank and really worth it for the added 'security' that you get - IMO

Atspace looks quite good.

Don't know if there are any catches though.
