Just wondering the game kind of ends very strange that you will be contacted again but you never are so will there ever be an Freelancer 2 or was that just a mistake in the game?

As far as I can remember I recall a part in this game where it becomes impossible to continue due to a bug of somesort... I think its right before you supposed to go through a warpgate and then you start getting chased by the guys who were on your side... Im pretty sure its this game. How did it end for you? I'd be able to tell you if there is more to the story... I do know that when you finish the entire story you can continue to explore the galaxy but I recall it rolling credits when you do. Great Game though, I wish they would make another, loads of fun multiplayer.

The thing is it doesnt seem like the game really ended and that there would be an expansion but none has been announced or talked about

That was 6 years ago so dont think its going to happen lol but there is a game similar to Freelancer called Darkstar 1
Never could get to the ending my game just would not let me complete missions you needed to go on with the story.
U havent heard of Freespace 2?
Nope have not heard of it. Will check it out next month.

Freelancer was awesome! One of the few games that kept me engrossed and enjoying all the way to the end. I finished it a couple of years ago so memory is a bit dodgy. I do remember hearing that i will be contacted later and thinking 'haha, that's never gonna happen.' So i suppose it does end there, your games not broken. Bit of a bummer for you though, i know i would want that game to carry on forever.
