How would you get it? doesn't your friend use protection? (firewalls etc.)

I have got rid of freeprod !!!
Ok, what happend was I got preeprod via limewire, and with it came some GenericWorm.IQ trojans, a nightmare. My Ctr/Alt/Del would not work as the virus hit my task manager. I used my NortonAV but it only found 3 viruses. What to do to get rid of it (well it worked for me).
Go to AVG, download the free anti virus removal package.
Update it immediately!!!.
I turned off my system restore facility as it would no longer work anyway.
Then DISCONNECT YOU PC FROM THE INTERNET!!!, i.e. unplug the cable (when I ran AVG the trojans/freeprod were filling in behind again!).
Run AVG (it found 11,092 viruses on my PC recieved in 2 days!!!)
afterwards go to you C drive open "windows"
The next step is optional, and need a little care as you could damage your system if you delete incorrect files (most may be gone anyway from the scan)
I deleted any copies of the files that AVG found that were Trojans or worms (it tells you, write them down, it will be the short list at top or bottom of viruses found)...i had, gimmygames9.exe, outlook.exe (the virus version, be careful here), winsysupd9.exe (careful again), v.tmp, p.zip.
All is now well again, its the worst infection I have ever seen!!
