Getting SSD and installing Fresh Win 7.
What's the easiest way to get all the essentials onto my computer without spending hours getting everything up to standard?
Would need to cover the basics, eg. 7zip, VLC, Opera, Firefox, Chrome, Thunderbird, uTorrent, Anti-Virus, etc.
Linux Mint 14 wasn't for me.
Screwed it up for myself by making the install partition 12 GB. Wasn't able to change it afterwards. Ran out of space and got error messages about temporary files can't be stored even though I had 500 MB space left.
Some things didn't work as I wanted them to (mostly to do with Word users not being able to read my .odt files).
Biggest annoyance was that my Android cellphone (4.2.2) didn't gel at all with Linux Mint 14. Some screwed up MTP thing where updating every possible library via CLI commands recommended as quick fixes online didn't even help and many people were left stranded until the next version was released (version 15 is supposed to address the incompatibility).
