Something we discovered - the hard way [:(]

This is just a friendly warning to those that either lend their modem out or do a signal strength reading for a friend or stranger.
Everytime you logon with any modem, the Username and Password is written to the Modem and stays in the modem.
So if you have a 256k or 512k system and test someone else's modem with your Username and Password, you will write that information to his/her modem.
All it needs now is for that person to give a simple AT command to the modem and retrieve your Username and Password and before you know it, you are struggling to connect, simply because your Username and Password is being used elsewhere.

Hence a quick update was done to MySignal v4.0 for our testing purposes, in that when you now click the Modem Reset button, it will now reset the modem to its default state with a Username and Password of new_user.
In this way that person can only use his/her Username and Password to connect again and using the AT command will now only display new_user,new_user.
So before you give the modem back or remove it from your system, click on the Reset button [;)]

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?
