Friends lesbian plotline removed in Chinese version

Chinese streaming platforms Tencent, Youku, Bilibili and IQiyi have removed references to a lesbian character, politically sensitive images and sexually suggestive language from the hit NBC sitcom “Friends,” which returned to the services this month.

For example, in one instance, the Chinese version omits Ross’ explanation for his divorce: His ex-wife is a lesbian.

That might actually have to do with what the globe shows.... I am guessing it showed the south china sea as is.

Good. We can't have girls getting it on when there is asian peen in the queue.
 
Every country has their rules as to what is allowed and what's not. SA also has some rules with things allowed and things not. Thus all films gets censored first to see if its approved or not, and then they will add on a PG rating or heavies.

In SA everything goes, whereas in many countries abroad it doesnt. Most of Africa is anti LGBT
