My dad needs a new phone and he is not a fan of the touch phones so i recommended a blackberry since he wants a business phone. So for some one who used a E90 what black berry would you guys recommend?

The new(est) Curve - the 8900 if I'm not mistaken...

If he isn't sold on the Blackberry service, it's worth looking at the E71/E72.

Bold if he is prepared to pay a bit more than the 8900 - it's got 3G (8900 has GPRS only), but the camera isn't quite as good.

As far as I know the Blackberry's also have unlimited internet use. Does that mean you can browse via the BB on your laptop unlimited?

I've moved from the E90 to the BB Bold. The Bold is a fantastic device and BIS makes it just about the perfect mobile solution. I still struggle somewhat to get used to the smaller keyboard, but it's going better every day. I'm genuinely impressed with BlackBerry.

Ditto. I can't think of anything else that would serve my needs so completely.

(Only problem is that I'm starting to type on PC like I type on Blackberry - press and hold for caps, and typing "cant" and other suchlike words expecting it to fill in the apostrophe automatically).

hehe yeah, i keep wishing for 't' for top and 'b' for bottom shortcuts when i'm using firefox or mail.

I struggle most with the 7 as it's so close to the alt when typing with both thumbs.
