Hi guys!

I just phoned Telkom and cancelled my ISP account with them. Then I contacted Axxess Africa and was online with them in less than 5minutes!!. What a service, and the browsing and downloading is quick and without problems.

All it requires is getting the application form from the Axxess site (www.axxess.co.za) and faxing it through. They will phone you back as soon as possible (for me it took 3min). They give you the username/pass and off you go!

WebAfrica signed me up with no faxes or anything in 3 minutes, activated 23 minutes later.

AYCE signed me up in 8 minutes, and activated in 12.

So - Excess is winning there - except for the fax part.
 
Hehe doing the exact same thing... Just cancelled my TelkomISP account, now sending my fax to Axxess for the 10Gb account...

Hopefully it'll be as easy as urs was ;)

Just be careful - Telkrap mismanage their billing for ADSL, and will continue debiting you despite the cancellation. My own situation is still unresolved as of this writing. It may be different for the ISP portion, I don't know...

hmm.. you THINK it's mismanagement...! They know exactly what they're doing! :p
 
What if I don't have a Fax, how do I subscribe to Axxess? Someone from Axxess on the forums please tell me cos I will be signing up soon but I don't have a Fax machine.
 
Go to your local PostNet and send the fax from there.

Surely you could go to a shop/mate who has a fax machine?
 
LOL too much effort :D Just wanted to know if there was any way of getting around the Fax thing. Didn't need to fax anything to WebAfrica.
 
K thanx will try that. Otherwise will have to ask my father to fax it. He hates the whole computer/internet thing. He just wants it to work. Everytime I mention something might have to change he explodes :D ROFL
