I've been using Wireless internet for about 3 and a half years. After lots of discussions with friends and people I "met" on the internet, I decided to go over to ADSL. Well, I've only been using it for one day and I can't think of any reason why I didn't start using it a long time ago.

First of all, today was the first day in a very long time that my MSN and GMail didn't loose a connection. Both programs was online without any disconnects.
Then off course I had connection problems as well with Wireless such as "Unable to connect", "Connection timed out", etc.... Today, not one problem with ADSL.

I had a 512k connection when I had Wireless internet. Now I have a 384k connection and I must admit, I almost can't even se a difference in the speed. I can only imagine what the 1mbit (4mbit trial) would be like.

And the pricing?

With Wireless I paid R599 for 3GB (Hard Capped) at 512k
With ADSL I pay R515 for 3GB (Soft Capped) at 384k.

For R80 more I can get 512k.

Ill never use Wireless again.

welcome to the hardwired matrix ..

i myself just tossed my iburst for a 512k line .. my total is R650 ... and i must say that few bucks extra is worth every cent ... at last i can play online games :o

ADSL might be expensive (iBurst even more expensive), but I can't see myself going without it! Just wish Neotel would give us broadband and a lower cost...
