Purpose of the job
Manage the relevant technology team workforce
Contribute to tactical planning from an operational perspective
Implement and deliver approved operational plans
Key Accountabilities
Manage, prioritise, direct and control resources to produce results and meet operational objectives and goals.
• Ensure teamwork and collaboration.
• Ensure people development and coaching.
• Ensure development and performance management for all reporting staff.
• Build and manage customer relationships.
• Ensure staff are motivated to perform at optimal levels.
• Ensure staff are appropriately allocated and work load reports produced.
• Ensure workforce is managed effectively to maintain productivity and quality.
• Ensure service level agreement standards are met.
• Ensure quality of programming code.
• Design and document robust, scalable solutions according to set standards.
• Ensure all production changes are managed within the release cycle.
• Participate in the development of key standards.
• Seek new ways to optimise or innovate as it relates to the use of technology.
• Ensure adherence to agreed governance procedures including architectural direction..
• Proactively identify and manage risks.
• Ensure a high performing team that delivers on quality outputs in a timely manner.
• Report on the overall monthly performance metrics.
• Ensure capability is built in the appropriate technologies to support future technology and application roadmaps.
• Ensure knowledge is transferred to reduce key man risks and support sustainability of our services.
Qualifications
Relevant IT diploma / degree or equivalent 5 years experience.
Experience
10 years’ experience in development and/or technical lead role.
