really tired of this life. Seem i can't touch my bank account untill all my debit orders are through sometimes delayed by a day or two. Then my life resume... Then i realize i look forward to the next pay/wait of debit orders

I hope to escape this in a few years with planning and patience. It's damn hard not to give in to temptation, though.
That said, at least none of us on the forum are working to simply survive.

Don't quite understand what you mean by " i can't touch my bank account untill all my debit orders are through ". You can withdraw money from your bank account at any time. However, if this causes the balance on the account to be too low for the debit orders to be honoured, you will be in the poo-poo.

A matter of budgeting and monetary management.

Same as me, i generally know what i can and cant spend, but am always terrified i overlooked something.
So i wait, until I am certain everything has been deducted!

I see the same happening to everyone around me. They have some many debit orders and crap going of that they sit the whole month without money.

I have the following debit orders going of my bank account:

Internet
Rent
Insurance
Savings

But you probably run a business from the accounts as well?

Was in the same boat till this month. Ended up taking out a personal loan to consolidate most of my debt - it may be more expensive on paper but I've released enough cash each month that I no longer need to roll my credit anymore or have sleepless nights.

No help in having credit when after 9 yrs all I did was just pay the interest because I always had to access the revolving credit to get by. Its going to take another 4yrs for me to get out of debt but at least I now know that I'm doing it one month at a time.

It sickened me each time at month end when I see the amount of money in my bank balance just sitting there waiting for the debit orders. No fun when you see how much you actually earn is not yours. Then again I'm married so I'm kinda use to that.

Just be careful not to max your credit cards and stuff again while your paying the personal loan off. Lots of people do that.

I am not pointing fingers at anyone (maybe at myself!) but I wonder why it is so hard for people to live within their budgets?

Not referring to emergencies and unexpected expenses here, but just on a normal basis.

Because our budgets are hard to leave with. We want fancier things ... like now am thinking of throwing away my old plates/mugs/sources (kitchen set) and buy a new one (they rally old and not in uniform... I bought new microwave, toaster, kettle all metallic, now i need plates that suit my kitchen. I'm not even married

Because in everything we do we get spoiled by instant satisfaction.

No more waiting for specific time to watch cartoons, just tune to cartoon network.
No more banking during bank hours, use internet banking.
No more waiting for season to eat certain fruits - they are around all year.

So, when we want a new toy, we don't want to save for three years and then buy it, we wnat to buy it now and pay it off for the next 5 years.

me too! so you don`t pay on the 20 or 25, you pay the day after the debit orders went off.
