I have always owned Android phones, Samsung mostly, and until recently, I wasn't really interested in Apple devices. Then I got to upgrade in February, and there weren't really any Android phones available that I was interested in. Vodacom put the iPhone 6 on special, and I thought, maybe I should give it a shot.

Now a few months down the line, I am getting a bit frustrated with the whole iOS ecosystem. While there are a lot of pros to the system like regular updates, great performance, good camera and build quality, I am missing some features that Android always offered like data management on PC, customizability etc.

I have to admit though that I have never owned a flagship Android, and have always owned mid range devices. So cant really comment on that.

But now I feel stuck with this contract. There are certain aspects that I love about the iPhone, but some tasks that should be simple, just really irritate me.

I also must say I got irritated with Samsung as well, due to lack of software updates, but that is due to the mid range nature of the devices.

Sell the iPhone and go back to greener pastures.

What you describe is largely the iPhone experience and any fanboi who is honest would have to admit that.

Focus on the positives though. For me personally, the things you list (build quality, performance) far outweigh the ability to manage data in Explorer.

There are always ways to do what you need if you really need to so ask yourself if your'e finding fault in a beautiful, fast, well built device for the sake of an action you may or may not need to take very couple of weeks/months.

I maintain that for most people, that is the case.

Ja thats true. I should enjoy it for the good aspects. It is a great phone and those are small problems to live with

If you really can't get used to it, sell it and buy and android. There's a huge demand out there for iPhones

I always find this "frustration" so odd.

After my flirtation with Windows Phone and finally being back on iPhone I couldn't be happier.

But it's ultimately a very circumstantial use case. I don't even know what "data management on PC" means, so can't see how it would frustrate me.
