Beware!

iBurst are selling prepaid starter packs with wronk/missing drivers!

And, they don't know how to fix the problem either.

This happened to me. The helldesk insultant at Iworst had absolutely no idea whatsoever as to what I was talking about. He did not even know that Iworst was selling a prepaid pack.

I had to explain to him what was in the pack, in detail.

The EXE is faulty, therefore, you cannot install the 'dashboard', you have to set up a new connection using your network setup wizard. You have to install the modem manually from the disc. This worked for me.

I discovered this by phoning back until I found an insultant that actually could help me. I hit gold after about three tries.

I wish I could tell you things will get better. I have had endless problems with iBUST. After installing 3 Flat Panel antennas for my 2 desktop modems, line of sight to the nearest tower (less than 2km away) I had excellent signal and speeds i.e. 1.2mb/s for all of a month. After that it was a case of every Monday morning I walk in speeds of below 300kb/s was common place.

Then you hope and pray it gets better, maybe by Wednesday you are back to good speeds, but then comes the end of the month and guess what? Yes the data left from the previous month does not migrate, you get throttled cause according to their system you are out of bandwidth (you can't even buy off their website cause this too is down)

Oh & the very help-full staff at the "Customer Service desk" well they are as clued up as YOU are.

All in all I now have 3 x 4mb TELSCUM ADSL lines (download speed of 3.5mb/s +/-) and let me not forget to mention this little tit bit. When it RAINS don't expect to get any good speeds, same with cloudy days, windy days :twisted:well any freaking day that is not PERFECT.

iBust is now my redundancy & I hope to GOD I never have to switch over and use it again.
