Hi guys.

I'm trying to add FTA channels on the ovhd decoder.
I know exactly where to add the frequencies and get some signal on some of them.
However the scan doesn't get any other channels.

Do you possibly know of working frequencies?

I've used lyngsat, but I'm not winning.
Thanks :)

If technically-understood Lyngsat info doesn't work then it sounds like OpenView probably have the same approach as MC, no external platforms can be added to their decoders these days. It's mainly done for copyright cooperation.
You'll need a FTA decoder, but really not worth it in southern Africa for Ku band unless you're into Christian interests. I can't help further.

BTW, what I mean is - you must know what the frequency, symbol rate and any "security" coding info means and how it relates to a decoder's limitations / ranges. You also need to check other factors, like signal type, beam location and signal strength for your area.
Others may be able to tell you if it is possible, but if you tried everything on Lyngsat for IS20 & 36 that's doubtful.

Thanks for the replies, appreciate it.
If I may ask, what is 36? I only know about IS20.
Thanks :)

Sure thing :)

IS36 is the second and "newer" satellite, as far as we go it's mostly used for Hi Band (although there's not really anything involved on those frequencies for S.A. yet).
The general belief is that we won't hear much more about it now with the economic conditions as MC isn't adding many channels anymore.

If you want more info / help about all of this, @Geoff.D is the best one I know to ask.
