So maybe someone out there could help me with a slight problem:

I cannot FTP from my Internet Explorer. I've tried updating, disabling firewalls and anti virus. Even uninstalled IE from Add/Remove Windows Components and "reinstalling" it again. I have no idea what else it could be?

Anybody else have a hint or two? I don't want to format and reinstall Windows...

I'm useing Firefox's Fire FTP, but this does not work as well as I would like it to...

When going to a FTP, it doesn't even ask for a username and password. Just gives me the following:

Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:

Click the Refresh button, or try again later.

If you have visited this page previously and you want to view what has been stored on your computer, click File, and then click Work Offline.

For information about offline browsing with Internet Explorer, click the Help menu, and then click Contents and Index.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!!:o

Could you explain the problem abit more...

Have you tried ftp://username:[email protected]

DV

Tried that and it doesn't work.

I type in ftp.mysite.com and it gives me the the message mentioned in the previous post. It doesn't ask for a username or password.

I work help a lot of people with their websites, but it is so much easier through IE than any other ftp client. I've tried FireFtp as well. It works, but it takes to much time to get what I want.

1. Click FTP client shortcut
2. Click connect to site
3. Download/Upload

It's really easy using an FTP client.

Does what you are trying to do work if you use an FTP client? It could be something to do with how the server is setup.
