FTP problem with Rain 5G

I download batches of jpg's from security cameras and since Friday this has not been possible with Rain 5G.
It either hangs on logging in or downloads 1-3 files and then hangs.
No problem downloading these files via FTP (up to 3000 one after the other) with Vodacom or Cell-C.
It may be related to another strange thing that has popped up since around Friday. Some of us have found that our public IP is changing between 2 addresses more or less every 2 seconds.
Please note Rain is aware of this problem and have promised a solution within the next few days.
I just wanted to see who else may be having this problem with FTP.

Unfortunately. No difference.

Try use a VPN like tunnelbear, its free for 500MB but its just to test.

I think this is due to their public IP issue. It plays havoc with FTP. See the "External IP" thread.

Many thanks to the techies at Rain! They promised they would fix it and they did!
Static IP now remaining the same again and FTP working!
