I have adsl through a marconi 4 port / wifi router using @lantic as my isp. I am trying to set up a ftp server on one of my pcs using serv-u 6.3.0.1 but I am having no luck. This is what I have done:
Installed serv-u and set up users and passwords.
Accessed this ok from other pcs on the lan
Set up an account with no-ip and am using their dynamic updater client.
Set up port forwarding on the router to forward port 21 to the pc with the ftp server.
I can ping the no-ip address ok
canyouseeme.org dosn't see port 21
I have turned off all firewalls but no difference.
When I try to access the ftp from a pc outside the lan using cuteftp it will not connect.
Because I can ping the no-ip address I guess that this side of it is working ok and so it must be to do with the router and / or port forwarding
Any help much appreciated as I will soon be bald at this rate of hair tearing out
