The FTTH Council Africa is a not for profit, INDEPENDENT, organisation established in the latter parts of 2010 and sister organisation to the FTTH Council Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, Middle East and North Africa
Our core focus is on the fibre industry and all stakeholders affected by the industry.
In turn we support government with issues such as policy and regulation, best practice and minimum standards through an independent voice.
Members have a platform to apply creative thinking to FTTH technologies and applications best suited to the continent of Africa.
Using member's contributions, we keep the participants informed about industry trends, share success stories, and provide support where we can. We offer members an opportunity to network and collaborate and discuss best practise frameworks that is in the best interest of all.
Further we encourage dialogue between government and private sector from a podium that is independent and product agnostic. We do not subscribe to any set of products, and will often engage with our international counterparts for advice on policy and regulation and rely on international best practise.
Our mission is to see the adoption of fibre deployments by all broadband stakeholders, thereby enhancing the lives of all people living on the continent of Africa.
