Hi guys, I'm in South Crest, Alberton, and Dark Network Africa's site says my street has fibre available, I'd just like to know if I can get Fibre to the home on another ISP on Dark Networks fibre lines?

Thank you. <3

You can't use that part of their network for FTTH unfortunately, business and carrier only.

Have you checked Telkom/Openserves coverage?

I have indeed, no luck.

Vox came to my doorstep on Thursday and said we have fibre in our area and getting FTTH would be no problem, but on their site it says we don't have coverage. This is hurting my head.

Why do they lay multiple lines through a neighborhood, and some of them even stop inside the neighborhood but all you find are homes, and 0 Business

Different routes for diversity, they place hand holes to service and blow new fibre. Couple of reasons, remember DFA built their network to service Cellular providers originally who would have towers everywhere.

Not entirely. If you can gather enough support, you can ask a provider if they can roll out to you.

Hmm today LinkAfrica started digging on the OTHER side of the road and I was wondering if the cable needs to be on your side of the street or doesn't it matter?

Our complex of still waiting they want us to contact the body corporates fiber is in the building though.
