So what is the difference between the 2 to justify the higher pricing? Is it contention ratios, SLA etc?
I'm running voip on Adsl and any fibre product "should" be superior? no?
I don't want to pay for exorbitant FTTB prices for no reason.

BIG QUESTION----> can I apply for FTTH at my business premises?

BIG QUESTION----> can I apply for FTTH at my business premises? No. You might be able to chat the system if you work out of a house in a fibre area or something, but if you are in a regular business district, you are sol

like so.

Couldn't decipher some of the info like "chat the system" and "you are sol"

Depends on the ISP. This is from Cool Ideas "Not necessarily, if you have 5 or more employees then you would need to go with a business package. If it is just you or a few more then you qualify for a residential package." - https://www.cisp.co.za/faq/

But remember, the ftth service will be best effort and not carry anything like the SLA of a business service. Also, you run the risk of being throttled/shaped at any time on a home service, whereas with a business service, you pay a premium for fixed rules governing this aspect.

Well SLA with Adsl lines are also best effort so it won't make a difference.
Also don't care much about throttling as we just doing VoIP and basic browsing and no streaming or video conferencing.
