I'm looking to buy a new digital camera that can also take video and is not too big.
what do u guys think of the Real 3D W1?

Personally, its not for me. While it has a coolness factor to take 3D images, the 3D aspect is not compatible with everyday image viewing applications. Sharing these 3D images therefore is somewhat limited. You could obviously use only one of the frames and share that.

In my mind, I wouldn't want to pay extra for a feature whose novelty would wear off pretty soon. Instead of paying for two lenses... I would rather pay the same for one more awesome lens.

what slim digital camera would u suggest?
didn't want to spend more than R3 800

I'm not sure what it will cost in S.A. but the Canon S90 sounds awesome. If you're not in too much of a hurry, I'll be able to give some hands-on feedback in about three weeks. I'm picking up one for a friend here in the US - going back in three weeks.

Personally, I'm very happy with my G9 - it's not super slim, but I can fit it in my jean pocket, and produces really good pictures. From what I've seen the current version, the G11 is even better.
