The Application Integration Specialist’s role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the integration of 3rd party software systems with the company’s product suite. This individual is also responsible for testing the interoperability of application modules under development by in-house software development teams. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.
Formal Education & Certification

Knowledge & Experience
- 2 years experience in enterprise-level application integration.
- Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, and data mapping.
- Basic understanding of one or more programming languages like Java, .NET, Python, Perl etc.
- Strong knowledge in eXtensible Markup Language (XML) as well as XML Schema (XSD)
- Knowledge of web technologies like HTML & Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
- Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.
- Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project life-cycle models, etc.
- Knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of network protocols and standards, including HTTP, TCP/IP, FTP etc.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Work Conditions
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
- Physically able to participate in sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Some travel may be required for the purpose of off site software and system integration efforts.
