C# Analyst Developer
R 30 000 – R 35 000 CTC

A fast growing company in Johannesburg is looking for a strong C# Analyst Developer to join their dynamic team.
Primary Purpose of the Job
Produces logical and technical specifications from functional specifications and writes the code for medium to large applications in OO environments. Responsible for designing and coding new systems and changes to existing systems and is responsible for the design of relevant databases, in conjunction with the Data Architect. Incumbent carries out systems analyses, design, coding, program debugging, system testing, security assessments, performance assessments and user interfaces.
Tasks
• System analysis and design of solutions – Schedule and facilitate JAD sessions
• Program development
• Define implementation criteria
• Impact analysis
• Generates reports in response to requests and schedules
• Designs prototypes
• Resolves system problems
• Ensure documentation is kept up to date
• Provides consultancy service to user and customers and testers
• Conduct and report on code reviews to ensure minimum standards followed
• Version control
• General support
Specific Requirements
• Must be prepared to work overtime and travel
Competency Requirements
• IT degree or Diploma or Microsoft certification
• Extensive experience +6 years with no tertiary degree or certification
• Quality control and testing exposure
• 6+ years in a development and software programming role
Critical knowledge
• Expert knowledge of software development lifecycle
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications
• 3 Years systems design and development
• 3 years SQL database design experience
• 3 Years C# and .Net experience – Visual Studio 2008
• Relational database design experience
• Formal test methodology exposure
