ThoroughTec is a global leader in the supply of mining equipment simulators for application in both surface and underground mines and is the leading supplier of military simulators in the South African market. These simulators are sold internationally under the CYBERMINE™ and CYBERWAR™ brands. ThoroughTec, whose head office is in South Africa, is in the process of establishing a global sales and support network. Offices have been strategically located in Perth and Toronto and further offices are planned.
ThoroughTec is seeking top C++ and C# Software Developers to join a young dynamic team located at its head office in Durban, South Africa. The successful candidates will play an integral role in advancing world class simulation technologies, so expanding ThoroughTec’s product base and global reach.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
• A B.Sc. degree majoring in Computer Science.
• C++ and C# programming experience.
• A penchant for involvement in leading-edge software development in a high-tech environment.
• An aptitude and willingness to solve complex and dynamic problems.
• A positive and determined approach to extending the boundaries of existing software knowledge.
• The ability to work in a close team environment as well as the capability to work independently, whilst taking responsibility as an individual.
• A positive and engaging attitude in dealing with people.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
The following characteristics, although not essential, are desirable:
• Honours degree or higher.
• Experience in software development in a similar high-tech industry.
