Location: Cape Town
Description:
Essentially this role will involve providing client facing technical support on a “front line” basis. You will be asked to either find a solution to the issue remotely from the office or visit client site to solve the problem. You will work closely with members of the team and other functional groups to provide technical expertise in handling production issues and complex inquiries for customers along with special projects as assigned. This would suit a skilled and capable individual.
Minimum Required skills:
• Networking – LAN, WAN, Firewalls, VPN’s
• Exchange 2003 – installation, troubleshooting and management
• Server builds – Windows 2003 Server
• Good knowledge of Active Directory
• Remote server and desktop support – RDP, VNC, PCanywhere
To Your Advantage
• Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD);
• Citrix Certified Engineer
• Watchguard Fireware experience
• Vmware ESX server experience
• Visio – network diagram experience
• Linux Knowledge
Experience and Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2003;
• 2 years IT Support experience minimum
Successful candidates are expected to have proven track record of providing a high-level of customer satisfaction and ability to meet service level agreements.The role will suit someone with a solid understanding of desktop-, application- ,network- & server support.
