Customer Service Engineer/Junior Programmer (Cape Town)
My client, a leader in software development, is looking for a Customer Service Engineer/Junior Programmer in their Cape Town office. The person will be responsible for:
• Software solution deployment planning, installation and rollout
• Software solution customisation, extension, configuration and integration.
• Assistance with post-implementation application support
Core Requirements:
• Good programming skills, including analysis and design.
• Ability to work well in a motivated, customer responsive, project driven, team environment, with a high degree of personal responsibility.
Technical Requirements:
• Languages: HTML, DHTML, JScript, ASP, SQL, .NET
• Tools: Visual Studio, SQL Reporting Services, MS SourceSafe
• Platforms: Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Active Directory, IIS, MSSQLServer 2005, COM+, Message Queues, MSDTC, .NET
• Networking: TCP/IP, HTTP
• Javascript,XML and XSLT
• High-level knowledge of C++ and C#
Required Experience:
• Good theoretical background to software development practice and commerce is preferable (degree or diploma, i.e Bachelors in Business Science with Information Technology as major)
• Practical programming experience is required (1-2 years).
• Exposure to customer service and support environments
General information:
• The position reports into the Head of Professional Services and is part of a cohesive customer focussed team
• Open plan, centrally situated offices, non smoking, relaxed, yet goal-oriented environment.
Remuneration:
• Annual salary of R13 000 cost to company for graduates. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
