Description:
This role is responsible for the management of Data Quality across the group, encompassing facilitation of data governance processes, data definition and business rule implementation as well as data issue analysis and issue resolution. You will work with data stewards and business analysts to respond to external and internal data quality concerns ensuring that QA procedures are followed as defined by Data Governance Forum whilst also assisting business users to understand appropriate use of data within their areas. You will promote data procedures, standards and guidelines. You will also develop, document and maintain data quality goals and standards and present reports to management on the progress of data quality improvement.
—At least 3 years experience
—Data analysis/compliance/governance experience (at least 1 year experience)
—Strong communication and analytical skills
—Strong documentation skills
—JAD facilitation skills
—Comfortable with numbers and design of reports
—Understanding of Master Data Management and Metadata
—Knowledge of UML, ITIL and SOA (Advantage)
—Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (Advantage)
—Experience in a financial institution and understanding of operations and business processes (Advantage)
—Experience and knowledge in BI Tools eg: Business Objects, Qlikview, Microstrategy, SSRS
—Exerience and knowledge in Data Quality Management eg: Dataflux, SAS
