Database Manager required in Northern Suburbs of Cape Town to oversee a team of DBA’s and assist with the database administration activities of MySQL and Oracle 10G database. Join this energetic, fast placed, dynamic company High transactional development environments. Business Intelligence rollouts as well as data warehousing in excess of 5 years would be advantageous.
You will be required to improve the effectiveness of the database tools and services, ensuring legal compliance of data,ensure that data is protected and backed up. Regular reporting to the teams you will with, monitoring of database performance, improving current technology and building new databases. The key responsibilities include support, standby, architecture, documentation, mentoring, leadership and coding from time to time is required to automate, reports being drawn and to assist PHP/C and Java Developers
