Duties/Responsibilities
- Acts as the technical owner of a set of Applications.
- Manages the relationship with Business Applications owners, and ensures that business objectives are reflected in the technical processes which they manage.
- Managing a team of specialist resources, specifically resourcing and scheduling in the SDLC processes.
- Managing a project or set of projects in a program related to their technical Application set.
- Ensuring that the Application remains adaptive to emerging client needs in its lifetime.
Knowledge
- Processes: SDLC, ITIL (Incident, Change, Release, Problem Management), CMMI
- Technologies: Java, SQL, UML,
- Other: Software architecture, facilitating JAD sessions, data modeling techniques, UML Process Design
Technical Skills
- Project Management
- Solution Architecture
- Software development and testing
Qualifications
- Tertiary degree (B. Engineer, B.Com, BSC)
- MOF or equivalent contemporary development methodology (beneficial)
- ITIL Foundation certification. (beneficial)
Minimum Required Experience
- 3 to 5 years experience in software development for large commercial entities, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
