Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate
BComm Degree in Technology or related field (Completed)
Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
SQL, Cognos Data Manager or similar ETL product
Job Description and Responsibilities:
• 2 Years ETL development and maintenance experience including analysis, design and specification of BI deliverables for projects
• Knowledge of Development Life Cycles tools and processes
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing
• Development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and supporting data marts and processes
• Contribute to the analysis, design and specification of the Business Intelligence deliverables for the project, including the design of the required ETL processes
• Ensure the ETL code delivered is running optimally, conforms to specifications and design guidelines
• Raise critical technical issues to the ETL Manager that may impact on the timeline
• Unit testing ETL code to ensure it can be delivered and run in a system testing environment
• Carry out Impact Analysis for changes proposed by business team
• Implement warehousing solutions in line with business requirements (including enhancements to existing processes and procedures, development of new functionality, etc) within broader company BI vision
• Participation and contribution in quality assurance walk through of ETL components
• Ensure integrity and delivery of data from the source systems to the warehouse to the respective marts
• Assist business with aggregation and presentation of financial data
• Maintain and do problem resolution within existing processes
• Understand database concepts of referential integrity, indexes and keys and table metadata

• Basic UNIX knowledge
• Solid knowledge in testing methodologies, data access techniques and debugging techniques
