- Strong Troubleshooting ability
- Familiar with Backup Procedures
- Familiar with Antivirus Procedures
- Some scripting, programming
- Any Microsoft Small Business Server experience beneficial but not required
- Any Active directory setup experience beneficial but not required
- SQL Administration skills beneficial
- IIS 7 skills beneficial
- MAC experience beneficial
- Good Telephone etiquette and mannerisms
- Good ability to communicate and explain and troubleshoot over a telephone for remote support
- Patience –Telephone support background beneficial
- General passion for technology and I.T. in general

- Strong Admin and documentation skills in terms of monthly Asset register Audits, maintain record of users, PC’s Vendor and supplier contacts, and environment doc changes
- Have an interest in markets and perhaps financial systems or CRM tools
- General IT support of local Cape Town office
- Remote IT support of remote London Office
- Anything as required by the team
- Interact with all internal clients and external suppliers on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provide answers in a timely manner.
- Build and maintains supplier relationships and manage the purchase of hardware and software products.
- Manage and recommend software, hardware and other IT supplies keeping track of industry standards
- Perform Daily, Weekly, Monthly infrastructure maintenance tasks – pro-active failure prevention
- Administrate ICT infrastructure pertaining to
- network (ADSL connectivity, LAN, WAN
- Hardware (Laptops, Desktops, Printers Servers,)
- Supporting of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, Windows7
- Supporting Windows Server 2000, 2008, 2008r2
- MS-Office 2007 and 2010 Support and troubleshooting - Particularly Outlook
- Support and maintain Windows Server 2008 r2 Cloud Servers at Rackspace
- Support and maintain Windows Physical Servers Cloud Servers at UK Colo
- Support and Maintain Windows Virtual Machines (Local on Citrix Xen Server)
- Liaise with Vendors and suppliers of hosted services
- Maintain physical and virtual servers in UK and USA
- Troubleshoot LAN and connectivity issues with ISPs and Vendors
- Administration of accounts using Exchange 2007 hosted services
- Compile Propose and contribute to an ICT visio
- Manage and maintain MS licenses (Action Pack, MSDN, VLSA)
- SQL maintenance Plans in terms of backups for all Servers
- Ensure Backup and restore procedures are in place for all servers
