Description:
We currently have a PHP Developer position available for an intermediate- to senior-level individual with the skills and qualifications listed below.
The position entails working in conjunction with the Development Manager to:
- Perform analysis on new and existing projects – Manage project milestones, tasks, deadlines, and resources based on best practices – Develop PHP and MySQL-based websites and web-based business systems through clear processes – Perform testing & quality assurance on work completed
Candidates should be familiar with:
- Standards-based development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, Prototype, script.aculo.us, MooTools, etc. – The PHP programming language, PHP frameworks, and object-oriented development methodologies – MySQL database systems, relational database design, and database optimization – Subversion or other version control software
Skills required:
- Ability to handle workloads efficiently and within deadlines – Ability to work without constant supervision – Creativity and proactivity – Professional attitude – Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Qualifications required:
- Matric – Formal diploma or degree in Information Systems, or a similar qualification – Minimum of 2 years’ working experience
