Knowledge & Experience
- At least five years’ equivalent work experience in a senior technical analytical position responsible for managing server environments / networks / databases.
- Advanced knowledge of at least 3 of the following: Windows Server, Linux, SQL, IIS, Apache.
- Exceptional abilities at load balancing, clustering, and caching procedures and processes.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining all manners of server hardware and associated network equipment, like SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology.
- Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP and HTTP network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration.
- Familiarity with cloud computing options – SAAS, PAAS, IAAS etc.
- Business process and re-engineering experience, as well as an understanding of the relationship between processes and policies.
- Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, like Windows, Linux, Mac OS.
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with configuring DHCP
- Experience with domain management – DNS, A-Records, CNAME records etc.
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers, like MS SQL or MySQL.
- Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Broad hands-on knowledge of disaster recovery planning and other industry-standard techniques and practices.
