We are seeking an IT Application/Solutions Architect required to work in Sandton.
Focus:
•Application and Solutions Architecture; •Guide the application solution towards the long term needs of the organisation; •Application Systems Design; •Develops technology roadmaps (business and technical view) and position papers.
Requirements:
• Information systems degree / BSC computer science with relevant experience; •6 – 10 years technical experience which includes Application Architecture or Solutions Architecture; •Financial industry experience; •Knowledgeable in all aspects of designing and constructing application systems; •Previous software development experience; •Experience in Excel, Viso, Powerpoint and MS Project; •Excellent written and oral communications with good presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design an application for a multi platform environment; •Define the test requirements to verify the application design; • Apply the principles of project planning, control and change management; •Develop requirements and design specifications for new and existing applications; •Sets the future direction and develops the migration plans for the applications to meet the business and architectural objectives of the organisation; •Evaluation of 3rd party vendor solutions; •Ownership of Architecture design and implementation; •Clearly describes the architecture, including rationale for decisions and implications of decisions.
Remuneration is negotiable
