Description:
Looking for an IT Manager – to be based in Durban, with possible trips to regional sites.
The IT manager is responsible for ensuring that the Agency Information System is fully available, functional and efficient. He/She manages the local IT Technician. He/She is responsible for applying group instructions and procedures as proposed by the Africa IT Manager.
Provides close technical expertise to IT technicians of other group agencies attached to the zone he has in charge.
To perform these services, the IT manager will rely on the head office support teams.
Main duties:
-maximum operational availability of the agency information system (IBM, AS400, Windows servers, e-mail servers, network equipment, work stations, peripherals, telecommunications)
-responsible for ensuring system and data consistancy.
-responsible for IT security (operation, access rights, backup)
Requirements:
Masters Degree in IT
Minimum 2 years experience in operational information systems.
Proficient knowledge of Windows environment.
Proficient knowledge of IBM AS 400 environment.
Proficient knowledge and practise of security, backup strategy and RDBMS
French language skill is an advantage.
