SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZENS ONLY (12 MONTH CONTRACT RENEWABLE)

Leading ICT Company is recruiting a Project Manager with 5 to 10 years experience in Systems Development and Integration projects.

Location: Hatfield (Pretoria)
Type position: 12 month contract (renewable after 12 months)
Remuneration: Rate per hour negotiable

Skills and experience required:

• 5 to 10 years Project Management experience.
• 5 to 10 years experience in Systems Development and Integration projects.
• IT related qualification.
• PMBOK certification.
• Computer literacy in programs such as MS Office, MS Project etc.
• Experienced in full SDLC projects, systems support, integration process and facilitation.

Job functions:
• The Project Manager will be responsible for the total execution of the project, from concept to close, ensuring that the project meets its objectives, that the deliverables are complete, produced to schedule and budget and meet the quality, as specified by the customer.
• The project manager will manage all the resources deployed in the defined work streams of the project as appointed in the related Statements of Work i.e. PMO, Functional & Technical Support, Functional Design.
• Achieving the predefined target dates that have been set for fixed term / cost delivery of certain phases of the project.
• To develop interventions and plans of action to address complex problems.
• To ensure that the project is properly communicated internally to stakeholders and external stakeholders involved.
• Achieve cross skill requirements of part time resources.
• To apply defined PMO methodologies for the project ensuring that inputs and deliverables are delivered on a timely basis and according to specified standards.
• Make recommendations aligned with the specifications to ensure that the specific requirements of the project are achieved.
• Manage the process to conceptualise the project with the project sponsor and obtain sign off through the steering committee to produce the relevant project control documentation
• Manage the process of producing and consolidating detailed plans, schedules and budgets from the statements of work and obtain the related approvals.
• Manage and co-ordinate the implementation process of the project, both the functional aspects and the human resource requirements, ensuring delivery of all capabilities within the scope of the project.
• Manage the close off of the project paying specific attention to the gathering of lessons learned and ensuring these are captured into the PMO repository.
• To follow a holistic approach in constantly analysing the environment and making recommendations to management in terms potential changes.
• Contribute to the general project management community through sharing experiences and information, which has been gathered through research and execution of projects.
