A Cape Town based IT security solutions company seeks a support engineer to assist in maintaining and implementing security solutions. Successful candidates will meet the following requirements:
* His/Her own reliable transport with a valid license. * Be a South African citizen. * Have excellent client facing skills. * Have 3 – 5 years working experience in an IT environment. * Have an excellent understanding of Microsoft technologies. * Have a good understanding of Linux/BSD OS’s and technologies. * Have an excellent understanding of IP and other networking protocols. * Excellent troubleshooting skills. * Skills in the following security based technologies are not essential but favourable: 2 Factor Authentication, Web and Email Content Filtering, Log * Archiving and Correlation, Data Leakage Prevention, Firewalls, Anti Virus and Vulnerability Management * In addition to the above requirements, the following will be beneficial to any candidates. * Possessing or studying towards a CISSP or other security related qualification. * In depth experience with any of our partners products, or our partners competitor’s products. * Work experience in a client facing position. The candidates primary duties, amongst others will be the following:
* Take responsibility of support calls from begin to end. Some support requests may require you to make a visit to the client. * Adhoc creation and customisation of documentation for clients. * Give input and suggest solutions to clients problems. * Complete demo installations of various security related solutions at clients premises. Assist clients with getting familiar with these products. * Build relationships with key clients and continue to provide them with unparalleled service.
