Main Role:
• We are looking for a Java developer of intermediate level upwards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Consult with Account Managers and Solutions Architects to clarify requirements
• Create stable and efficient applications according to specifications provided
• Modify existing application code to correct errors or to enhance a system’s capabilities
• Research and develop solutions to extend the functionality of existing solutions
• Prepare building, deployment and configuration documentation for other programmers and end users
• Prepare technical release notes, and document changes using agreed systems and processes
• Develop applications using Java (JDK 1.5 or 1.6), ORM (JPA, EJB or Hibernate), MVC (Stripes, Struts, JSF, or Spring MVC), Enterprise Java (Tomcat, Spring, JBoss or other J2EE container), SQL (MySQL, DB2 or PostgreSQL)
• Learn technologies specific to customers, e.g. LAMP stack, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery and Linux tools
• Perform assigned systems checks and technical support
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
• Relevant degree or diploma in Information Technology
Technical Skills & Experience:
• Java (JDK 1.5 or 1.6), ORM (JPA, EJB or Hibernate), MVC (Stripes, Struts, JSF, or Spring MVC), Enterprise Java (Tomcat, Spring, JBoss or other J2EE container), SQL (MySQL, DB2 or PostgreSQL)
