Main Role:
• Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for several Java resources to add to their team for a 12 month contract, specifcally 2 junior, 1 intermediate and 1 Senior Java resource.
Requirements:
Education & Qualifications:
• A tertiary qualification, preferably B Com (IS) or BSc (Computer Science)
• An applicable Java Programming Certification preferred
Technical Skills & Experience:
• 2-3 years systems Development and Design experience (will vary depending on experience)
• 1-2 years’ Product ( Java ) specific experience (will vary depending on experience)
• Data Modeling skills
• Object-orientated techniques
• Design skills
• J2EE Architecture experience (EJB, XML, Servlet API, Design patterns, JSP & JMS)
• Experience on an Oracle platform
• Systems design experience essential
• Some exposure to the Life Insurance industry would be useful, or at least some experience in a corporate financial environment
