Java Developers: Cape Town (PO2)
My client, a top software provider worldwide, is seeking a Junior & Mid Level Software Developer with the following requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc or B.Eng Degree (Computer Science) OR a B.Tech degree with at least 2 years experience as full time developer in a professional development team.
Other Requirements:
- Excellent object-oriented analysis, design and development skills
- Experience using an OO language such as Java or C++. Java expertise with J2SE experience is preferred
- Sound understanding of relational databases and SQL, including experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A commitment to quality
- The ability to work well in a team
- The ability to communicate effectively – both verbal and written communication
Meeting any of the following additional criteria would be a plus:
- Experience using Python
- DB2 LUW experience
- AIX (ideally version 5) experience
- EFT industry experience
