We’re looking for a technically-minded, hard-working, disciplined person that can administer Linux servers and provide technical support to our client base and internally to the rest of the company.
To qualify for the position, you need at least one year of decent Linux experience, with the focus on the following components: Apache, MySQL, FTP and mail servers. Experience with PHP and ASP/ASP.Net coding will count in your favour.
The position entails front-line support for our hosting clients on shared hosting and dedicated server platforms, server installation and maintenance and liaison with our upstream providers.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of experience in the above, and experience in additional Linux systems such as firewalls, mailscanner and server hardening tools.
The position requires dedication and availability at all times in order to maintain SLA’s with clients.
Provide clear details of your experience levels with the different Linux applications that you have gained experience on, as well as the length of the experience.
You MUST reside in the Johannesburg area; applications from outside JHB will not be considered.
You must also have your own transport and Internet connectivity.
Remuneration will be determined by your experience levels.
The minimum contract period is 2 years.
We expect you to hit the ground running, and make a difference from the first day.
Salary: R144 000 to R180 000
